Welcome !

Troop 59 is located in Point Pleasant,Pennsylvania and has been an active part of the community for over 60 years.

Not all Boy Scout Troops are created equal. That said, Troop 59 is a 'Boy Led Troop' rooted in:

  • History: The wonderful sense of belonging to one of the first Boy Scout troops in our area that has operated continuously and been an active member of the community.

  • Family: Troop 59 has a family feeling. We are a small troop (our average number of Scouts has historically averaged around 20 boys) and are proud of that. Being small allows each Scout's family to be an active participant in the activities of the Troop. The Boy Scouts of America has overwhelming support to back up the statement that a Scouts success is directly related to the level of involvement of his parent(s) in his scouting career.

  • Honor:The Boy Scout Oath says it perfectly:

On my Honor I will do my Best
To do my Duty to God and my Country
and to Obey the Scout Law;
To Help others at All Times;
To keep myself Physically Strong,
Mentally Awake, and Morally Straight.

Posted on Apr 21 2010 - 5:50pm

Familes of Troop 59,

Alot of you have utilized the Paypal system on the troop website, but some of you prefer to pay by check. Thats great but we haven't had an effient way of getting the checks to the treasurer. Until now ! We have attached an envolope on the inside of the black double doored cabinet at the Firehouse. Anytime you wish to pay for activities you can put the check in the envelope and Kathy will pick it up when shes at the firehouse. Thanks for you cooperation.
